Apple and Goldman Sachs will reportedly release a new credit card early next year.

The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS - Get Report) and Apple Inc. (AAPL - Get Report) have reportedly teamed up to release a co-branded credit card, according to the Wall Street Journal.

This would be the first time that Goldman Sachs has released a credit card. The card would be under the Apple Pay brand.

Apple's current partnership with Barclays PLC (BCS) would end under the new partnership.

The card is expected to be launched early next year.
