Alaris Medical Gets 5-Year Pact From Vanderbilt University

signed a $10 million deal with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to install its Medley Medication Safety System in place of traditional bedside infusion pumps.

The Medley System, to be used by Vanderbilt for at least 5 years, is a medical technology platform that combines infusion, patient monitoring, and clinical guidelines. Along with the system, Vanderbilt will use Alaris Medical's Guardrails Safety Software to monitor intravenous therapy dosage.

Alaris Medical closed at $3.40 Friday on the American Stock Exchange.
