is on track to hit its third-quarter numbers, the software company announced after Monday's closing bell.
With about five weeks remaining in the quarter, Adobe expects to post a per-share profit of 25 cents to 27 cents, on revenue ranging from $470 million to $490 million, which is what the San Jose, Calif., company forecast in mid-June.
Analysts polled by Thomson First Call were looking for a 27-cents-a-share profit and revenue of $486.2 million.
In its business update, the company also indicated that it continues to experience solid demand for its Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Suite products in all of its major geographic markets.
Adobe will report final results for the quarter on Sept. 15, after the market closes.
Following the announcement, the stock was off 86 cents, or 3%, in after-hours trading to $28.60 on Instinet.
