Onyx Drops on Loss, Restatement

Onyx Software (ONXS) was down 13.2% in late morning. After the close Friday, the company said its second-quarter loss grew to 35 cents per share including charges vs. a loss of 2 cents a year ago.

The company also said it is restating results from the first quarter of 2001 and the fourth quarter and full year of 2000. Onyx said it discovered "unauthorized side agreements" and reversed some deals.

The company said no one had been fired as a result of its investigation into the deals.
