Tesla Chief Accounting Officer Departs

Tesla (TSLA) said its chief accounting officer left the company Wednesday for personal reasons.

The company said in an SEC filing that "On March 7, 2018, Eric Branderiz left Tesla for personal reasons. Tesla appreciates Eric's service to the company."

Shares of the electric vehicle maker were lower in late trading after the announcement.

Branderiz joined Tesla in late 2016 from Sun Power to fill the newly created chief accounting officer position.

Shares ended the regular session down 1% at $329.10. The stock fell as low as $322.90 after the anouncement, before regaining some of the late losses.
