Apple Inc.  (AAPL - Get Report) supplier Catcher Technology says its plant in eastern China is fit for workers, denying allegations made by a New York-based rights group that says the company forces its workers to operate in loud, polluted conditions during their 10-hour shifts.

China Labor Watch said it observed the dismal working conditions during an undercover investigation that ran from October 2017 through January 2018.

Grievances observed by the group include bathrooms that do not have enough hot water, lunchroom-induced bouts of diarrhea among workers, severe pollution, ground surfaces covered in oil resulting in worker slips and falls, and issues involving timely worker compensation.

This is at least the second investigation China Labor Watch has launched against the company after a 2014 report outlined some of the same rights violations.

Apple said it maintains a monitoring team at the site and that the factory has made "significant progress" in addressing working-standards concerns.
