Despite all three major U.S. averages sinking into the red during Tuesday afternoon trading, some stocks are still emerging as winners. 

Here's a look at some of the stocks hitting fresh 52-week highs on Tuesday, and some of the factors driving their gains. 

Scotts Miracle-Gro

Shares of Scotts Miracle-Gro ( SMG) , a manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products, were climbing over 2.3% during trading on Tuesday after the company reported strong-than-expected third-quarter financial results.

For the quarter, Scotts posted adjusted earnings loss of 26 cents per share on revenue of $376.7. Analysts were expecting adjusted earnings loss of 29 cents on revenue of $371.57 million. 

Live Nation

Shares of Live Nation ( LYV) were jumping over 2% during trading on Tuesday following reports that a promoter for the live entertainment company said that rapper Jay-Z's current 4:44 tour is his highest grossing, outperforming his 2013 Magna Carta Holy Grail tour by 21%.

News Corp

Shares of the News Crop ( NWSA) , the parent of Twenty-First Century Fox ( FOXA) , continued its climb higher on Tuesday after reports that the Walt Disney Company ( DIS) could potentially engage in buying certain assets of Fox's media conglomerate.


Texas Instruments

Shares of the semiconductor manufacturer rose to a new 52-week high on Tuesday after Broadcom ( AVGO) displayed interest in buying chipmaker Qualcomm ( QCOM) . The potential deal between the two semiconductor companies could highlight product synergies a firm like Texas Instruments ( TXN) would have with a counterpart.

Nvidia

Shares of everyone's favorite chipmaker hit a new 52-week high on Tuesday after the company released powerful Titan Xp graphics cards designed after the famed "Star Wars" saga.

"These new Star Wars collector's edition GPUs pay homage to the light side/dark side dichotomy, and contain hints of the Star Wars galaxy, such as the hilt of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber and light panels reminiscent of the Death Star," Nvida (NVDA) said. 

Yum! Brands

Shares of the restaurant holding company and parent of KFC and Taco Bell jumped to a 52-week high on Tuesday on the heels Yum! Brands ( YUM) reporting increasing same-store sales in all three of its chains: KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

Boeing

Shares flew to a new 52-week high on Tuesday after the Boeing's ( BA) 787 completed two new flights to Chengdu and Chongqing in China from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

They are first commercial flights between the East Coast of the U.S. and interior China.

Royal Dutch Shell

Shares of the British-Dutch multinational oil and gas company Royal Dutch Shell ( RDS.A)  hit a new 52-week high on Tuesday as oil prices continued to make new quarterly highs.

Others

Other stocks hitting fresh 52-week highs is one of TheStreet's Jim Cramer's " favorite" stocks Intuitive Surgical ( ISRG) , a manufacturer of the surgical systems. The other was Deere and Company ( DE) .
