As Facebook Inc.  (FB - Get Report)  reports earnings for the third quarter of 2017, the focus will be on the social media giant's ad revenue and user growth, as well as its spending guidance for the fourth quarter and updates on its efforts to monetize its messaging apps. For the quarter, analysts are expecting the Silicon Valley giant to report GAAP (Facebook no longer reports non-GAAP) earnings of $1.28 per share on revenues of $9.85 billion (up 41% year-over-year).
