The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV) today announced that in light of the active and devastating storm season, it is increasing the $500,000 already committed for hurricane relief efforts by $100,000. These additional funds will primarily go to help those affected in Puerto Rico recover from Hurricane Maria, with contributions being made to Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico and Team Rubicon.

"Hurricane Maria's devastation is still being felt, and our hearts are with the people of Puerto Rico," said Alan Schnitzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Travelers.
