The second iteration of Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google Pixel will debut on October 4, according to a website highlighting the smartphone's advertising campaign.

The web page greets users with the question "Thinking about changing phones?" and tells those interested parties to stay tuned for an announcement on October 4. The landing page also asks intrigued customers to enter their email address to stay up to date with the latest developments surrounding the second Pixel phone.

Recent reports have indicated that the Pixel 2 will sport a 5-inch display that has a traditional 16-to-9 aspect ratio, as well as a 6-inch Pixel XL 2 featuring a wider 18-to-9 aspect ratio.

The upcoming smartphone is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm's (QCOM) Snapdragon 836 processor, and run Google's Android 8.0, dubbed Oreo, operating software.

Shares of Alphabet were lower in earl-afternoon trading on Thursday.
