Media Stocks Jump Following Goldman Conference
AMC shares were up nearly 8%.

Shares of public movie theater companies AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. (AMC) , IMAX Corp. (IMAX) and Cinemark Holdings Inc. (CNK) were all rising in late morning trading Wednesday as media executives paint a rosy picture of the movie industry at the Goldman Sachs Communicopia Conference. 

The bright picture being painted comes on the heels of a strong weekend from the horror film "It." "It" broke September and horror box office records over the weekend, taking in about $115 million. 

Cinemark shares were up 1.6%, IMAX shares were up 3.11% and AMC jumped 7.75% Wednesday.
