Apple Inc. (AAPL) introduced its much anticipated special edition iPhone X Tuesday and also gave people a behind the scenes look at how it was able to program the phone's facial id security feature.

The company says that the Face ID feature is exponentially more secure than its touch ID. Apple says that there is a one in a million chance that someone with similar features could unlock your phone once Face ID is activated.

The iPhone X will be available in 64 GB and 256 GB with a starting price of $999. The phone will begin shipping November 3.

Take a good long look at the iPhone 8 and 8 plus.
