Allen was hired as its new executive VP and chief marketing officer and brings over 30 years of experience from Procter & Gamble (PG - Get Report) where she most recently served as VP and general manager of North America Hair Care.

Shares of Hertz were climbing nearly 2% in midday trading on Wednesday.
