Apple will reportedly release three new versions of the iPhone and a new Apple TV model, according to Buzzfeed.
Sources told the website that the most expensive iPhone model will be priced at around $1,000. It will reportedly feature a bezel-less, curved OLED screen, unlock using facial recognitions and charge through magnetic induction, according to the New York Times.
The September launch event will also see the fifth generation Apple TV released to the market. It is said to support 4K streaming and offer double the video resolution of the previous model. The upgraded Apple TV comes as the company invests more in its original programming in a bid to compete with Netflix (NFLX) and Amazon Prime Video (AMZN)
Apple shares were up 0.2% in midday trading Friday to $159.59 after closing at $159.27 on Thursday.
Bloomberg has also reported that Apple will release an upgraded watch that will be able to make calls and use cellular networks.
A report released by Gartner Thursday sees Apple as the dominant player in the smartwatch sector through 2021. "Apple will continue to have the greatest market share of any smartwatch provider," the report said. "However, as more providers enter the market, Apple's market share will decrease from approximately a third in 2016 to a quarter in 2021."
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the September event, with rumors that Apple will also unveil a virtual reality device.
