The store is "an overwhelming HomeGoodes," wrote shopper on Instagram of the premier American HomeSense, which opened in Framingham, Mass. Thursday, Aug. 17. "Not sure I get the differentiation though," she added, but "it is worth a trip!!"

"It's exactly like HomeGoods... on steroids," another Instagramer wrote.
Also at the opening were Credit Suisse analysts, who noted some minor differences between the two sister concepts. For instance, HomeSense has more furniture and lights, and less decor. Brands are a bigger emphasis in HomeSense, with names like Jonathan Adler and Kate Spade.
The store aesthetics are also different, analysts observed, with HomeSense more like West Elm with a modern, clean and hip aesthetic, and HomeGoods, akin to Pottery Barn, whose furnishings have a traditional vibe.
Praise came across the board.
"I'm completely in love!" an interior designer said on Instagram. "I love that they have so many larger pieces of furniture, especially at a great price."
"Honestly I want to buy everything, help," one shopper Thursday wrote.

Just letting you all know how amazing the new @myhomesense store. I'm completely in love! I was fortunate enough to be invited to the launch party the other night to see the new store. Taking TJMaxx to a whole new level. I love that they have so many larger pieces of furniture, especially at a great price. You know I'll be doing more shopping here! I highly recommend going to check it out friends •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• • • • • • • • #lawlessdesign #interiordesign #design #creative #boston #bostondesign #designer #bostondesigner #blog #blogger #decor #interiordesigner #interiors #acolorstory #homedecor #remodel #farmhouse #farmhousedecor #farmhousestyle #interiordecor #interiordecor #showroom #midcenturymodern #thatsdarling #lighting #liveedge #furniture #pursuepretty #myhomesense
