Panera: food—and America—as it should be.
Panera Bread CEO Ron Shaich, perhaps feeling a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out), shared on Twitter a page-long letter to his company Wednesday Aug. 16, chiding President Donald Trump for his failure to fully take a stand against the white supremacist groups behind the Charlottesville rally last weekend.
"Clearly, these are not nice people who anyone should defend," he wrote. "I don't think there's ever been a more important time for us to stand up as citizens for our American values and voice our disgust for hate based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation."
Earlier on Wednesday, Trump disbanded his two economic advisory panels after eight executives quit this week.
