Asia Markets Down, Stock Futures Mixed

Asian markets were mostly down and U.S. stock futures were a mixed bag in early Thursday trading.

Japan's Nikkei 225 dropped 204.05 points, or 1.04%, to 19,498.38. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng dropped 308.32 points, or 1.13%, at 27,035.90. Stocks were 0.50% lower in Singapore at 3,252.65.

In U.S. stock futures overnight, Dow futures were even, at 21,733. Nasdaq and S&P futures were both up slightly, 0.20% and 0.04% respectively.

Gold futures were up $1.10, or 0.09%, to $1,293.50, while oil futures were down 0.43%.

On Wall Street Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 274.14 points, to close 1.24% lower, at 21,750.73. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq also fell, 1.54% and 1.94%, respectively, to close at 2,430.01 and 6,221.91.
