Sporting goods retailer Dick's Sporting Goods ( DKS) on Tuesday named Scott Hudler its next chief marketing officer, responsible for the retailer's overall marketing and consumer engagement strategy.
"Scott will play a pivotal role in driving our continued digital transformation across all consumer touch points and optimizing all of our marketing channels," Dick's President Lauren Hobart said. "His experience will make an immediate impact on our team, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Dick's family."
Hudler joins Dick's after an 11-year stint with Dunkin' Brands ( DNKN) , where he most recently served as senior VP, chief digital officer, leading the brand's digital strategy and product roadmap, including mobile, loyalty and all consumer-facing technology.
"I have always admired the Dick's Sporting Goods brand as both a marketer and as a consumer. I am incredibly excited to align my personal and professional passions and lead the digital transformation for such a strong consumer brand," said Hudler.

The watch was made in conjunction with Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google and Qualcomm Technology (QCOM) and starts at a lofty $2,450. It works with both Apple and Android devices, and is the first Android Wear smartwatch that functions in China.
