Fluor Joint Venture Wins Texas Southern Gateway Project

On Thursday global engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and maintenance company Fluor (FLR) said the joint venture it leads has been selected by the Texas Department of Transportation as the design-build and capital maintenance team for its southern gateway project.

The project is estimated to be worth about $625 million and calls for reconstructions and improvements made along the interstate I-35E and U.S. 67 in Dallas.

"Our team brings an integrated solutions approach to designing and building complex mega-projects and our long-standing relationship with Balfour Beatty solidifies our ability to deliver complex projects for Texas," Fluor president of infrastructure business, Hans Dekker, said.
