Gaming stocks were rising Monday following the release of data showing that gaming revenue in Macau, the world's largest gaming hub, rose 16.3% in April to $2.52 billion. Analysts were expecting the region to report revenue growth between 13% and 17%.
Macau had reported an 18% rise in March. April was the ninth consecutive month of revenue growth for the region.
Wynn Resorts (WYNN - Get Report) shares were up 2.5% to $126.10 per share, while Las Vegas Sands (LVS - Get Report) shares were up 0.92% to $59.53 per share and MGM Resorts International (MGM - Get Report) shares were up 1% to $31.02 per share.
