Airbus (EADSY) CEO Thomas Enders is under investigation by prosecutors in Vienna for suspected fraud in connection with a $2 billion Eurofighter aircraft ordered by Austria over a decade ago, Reuters reports.
Documents reviewed by Reuters noted Enders as one of those accused in the investigation, and a spokeswoman for the Vienna prosecutors' office said that information was correct.
"I can confirm that," the spokeswoman Nina Bussek told Reuters, while Airbus spokesman Martin Aguera declined to comment.
Shares of Airbus were lower during midday trading on Wednesday.
