Disney (DIS) this afternoon announced that the sequel to the popular animated film "Frozen" is slated for release on November 27, 2019, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Disney's 2013 hit "Frozen" grossed $1.3 billion at the box office, and almost as much in licensing merchandise, according to Forbes.
The original was also the top-grossing animated film ever and the second-highest grossing Disney movie behind Marvel's "The Avengers," which is the third top-grossing movie ever.
Shares of Disney were higher nearly 1.5% during afternoon trading on Tuesday following the report.
