Facebook (FB) founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed during the company's F8 developer conference in San Jose this week that it is working on a "direct brain interface" that will allow users to communicate "using only your mind".

The technology is designed to read a person's mind and generate a message of what is directly inside to the Internet.

Production of the project will be led by Facebook's Building 8 unit, which devises breakthrough initiatives for the company, International Business Times  said.

Zuckerberg has previously hinted that future versions of Facebook would allow users to "capture a thought" in its perfect form and "share that with the world."
