Wells Fargo (WFC)  CEO Timothy Sloan confirmed the purchase of 39,000 Wells Fargo shares Monday at a price of $51.65 per share. 

Sloan spent a total of just over $2 million on the purchase. Wells Fargo shares were up 1% to $51.87 Monday morning.
