Stifel today initiated coverage on a number of oil and gas firms.

The firm initiated Devon  (DVN) with a "Buy" rating and a $73 price target. Shares were moving higher in pre-market trading. 

It initiated Laredo Petroleum  (LPI) with a "Buy" rating and an $18 price target.

Marathon Oil  (MRO)  was started with a "Hold" rating and a $17 price target. Shares were moving lower in pre-market trading. 

RSP Permian  (RSPP)  was initiated with a "Buy" rating and a $46 price target.
