Qualcomm (QCOM) is predicting that the initial 5G smartphones will come to market in 2019, and they will boast an unexpected feature, Light Reading reports.
The chipmaker predicted that every 5G smartphone will come complete with a constant connection to 4G LTE.
The 4G connection will keep a user online even if the 5G high-band millimeter-wave signal fails.
