Amazon  (AMZN - Get Report) has struck a $50 million deal to stream part of the NFL's Thursday Night Football package, according to published reports.

The 10 games broadcast by NBC and CBS next season will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers, Sports Business Daily reported

The deal is for one year, according to the reports, and Amazon beat out Twitter (TWTR - Get Report) -- which paid $10 million for 10 games last season -- Facebook  (FB - Get Report) and YouTube for the rights.

Sports Business Daily reported that executives from Twitter and the NFL were pleased with the streams, which averaged 265,000 viewers on an average minute basis during the season.
