Apple Stepping Up Efforts in Augmented Reality

Apple (AAPL) is increasing staff to develop new products using augmented reality technology, according to Bloomberg.

Augmented reality can be integrated into games, entertainment, apps, and maps.

Apple has launched efforts to bring the technology to the masses, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported.

Furthermore, Apple is designating former Dolby (DLB) executive Mike Rockwell to lead the tech titan's push into augmented reality space. Rockwell joined Apple in 2015 after eight years with Dolby.
