Apple ( AAPL) iPhone 8s with OLED (organic light-emitting diode) displays will likely have an installed 3D sensor, according to JPMorgan.
"We believe this 3D sensing module is designed to be placed next to the front camera which likely can provide facial recognition function," JPMorgan analyst Narci Chang wrote.
Ultimately, JPMorgan estimates that 1 billion smartphones by the year 2020 will have 3D sensors.
