Welltower ( HCN) was upgraded from equal weight to overweight, said Morgan Stanley. The company holds a premium market position and a relatively young portfolio, and it faces relatively less new supply. The stock has a price target of $73. 
 
 
HCP ( HCP) was upgraded to equal weight, Morgan Stanley said. Recent portfolio improvements and dividend changes have led to an improved balance sheet and more diversified business mix. It also has relatively low exposure to senior housing. The stock has a price target of $31.

Johnson Controls (JCI) was upgraded from neutral to positive, said Susquehanna. This was a valuation call. The company is making progress on multiple fronts, including improving its financial transparency and its performance in the BTS market. Susquehanna also said that the company's power unit has room to grow, and that its margins can rise significantly. The stock has a target of $49.
