Trump Advisor and the director for the National Economic Council Gary Cohn appeared on Friday morning's "Squawk on the Street" on CNBC to discuss the February jobs figures that were released today, which he called a "perfect number."

The U.S. economy added 235,000 jobs last month, above the 200,000 jobs analysts had forecast.

"It was right exactly where it needed to be," Cohn continued. "Our jobs plan and our jobs creation and bringing jobs back to America is going exactly the way we'd like it to go. When I was on a month ago we talked about bringing jobs back, I think this number confirms everything that we're trying to do."
