McDonald's ( MCD) is dropping its version of an Indian/Western breakfast menu mixtape in Mumbai on Friday.

This isn't the fast-food giant's first foray into local Indian food. In 2009, it introduced the McAloo Tikki burger that was an interpretation of the popular street food, but this is the brand's first standalone breakfast menu in India.

New options will include the Masala Dosa Burger, Masala Scrambled Eggs and Molaga Podi Sauce. A masala dosa is a thin pancake of fermented rice and lentils, often served with potatoes, and molaga podi is a dry spiced powder made from mixed lentils and sesame seeds. McDonald's also plans on introducing the all-day breakfast in Mumbai, consisting of Waffles and Egg McMuffins.

There's been some mixed reactions online, a combination of Twitter users happy with the new convenience and people who think the golden arches have gone too far.

Why would someone buy Masala Dosa burger when you can get a very good and authentic Masala Dosa at less than 1/4 cost of that burger!

Masala Dosa Burger is the reason why you should remove the word innovation from power points.
