In Case You Missed It Thursday: An Age of Wisdom, or of Foolishness?

Money poured out of tech stocks (likely to be hurt by policies from President-elect Donald Trump) and into energy (due to the recent OPEC agreement), sending the major indexes in wildly different directions.

Then Starbucks' CEO Howard Schultz announced his intention to step down as CEO, sending one of the country's most beloved corporate entitles into a bit of disarray at the end of Thursday's trading.

But while the world continues to assess the Trump economy, did you see The Deal Economy Event? Well, you missed out (not completely, a recap can be found here), because it was a barn burner. The 2017 event, held at the Essex House in Midtown Manhattan, featured a who's who of corporate dealmakers, investment bankers, lawyers, activist investors and regulators.
