Snapstar allows users to simply take a photo of their grocery receipt and be rewarded with gift cards, giveaways and more when they purchase products from more than 30 major brands. Users are rewarded with stars for qualifying products, which they can bank and exchange for rewards like gift cards, or use to enter into daily giveaways for a variety of larger prizes. Instead of downloading individual loyalty apps, consumers using Snapstar are able to get rewarded for all their grocery store purchases in one place. Consumers are also not required to scan individual products or bar codes to get rewarded; Snapstar gathers data directly from the receipt.
