WHAT: Over 3,500 participants donated an estimated 65,298 pieces of Halloween Candy as they participated in The B Fund's 4th Annual Halloween Candy Drive, a week long initiative inviting children and families to imagine what the difference one small piece of candy can make in the lives of those in need. WHEN: From November 1st - 7th 2016 Trick or Treaters were enlightened that their beloved candy was not only delicious, it also had the ability to make a difference as The B Fundcontributed $.25 to Boston Children's Hospital for each piece of candy kids donated from their personal stash.*WHY: To spark conversation and engage with children and the community about the value in giving up only a few pieces of their coveted Halloween Candy. In the process, The B Fund's goal is to inspire others to join their growing group of aware and compassionate individuals who understand that giving of their "treasures" will, in turn, 1) raise awareness of a group in need of support; 2) Literally provide financial support to this group.
