End Hunger. at the ninth annual Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Coca-Cola (NYCWFF). The Festival, which took place October 13 - 16 at locations across New York, raised nearly $1 million to help fight hunger with Food Bank For New York City and No Kid Hungry ®. Attendees enjoyed more than 90 events, including large-scale, signature tasting events, hands-on classes, intimate dinners, and more, to benefit the nation's leading hunger-relief organizations and explore the latest trends in food and beverage.

The Festival weekend was full of fan-favorite moments and a plethora of chefs walking away with top honors from various events, starting with Shake Shack and Boilermaker tying for Whoopi Goldberg's pick of the night on Thursday, October 13 at The William Vale in Williamsburg during Chicken Coupe hosted by Whoopi Goldberg & Andrew Carmellini. Shake Shack served up their salt & pepper honey chick'n, while Boilermaker offered guests a popcorn BBQ chicken waffle cone with fig honey and pickled vegetables. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer reigned supreme once again at the Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray on Friday, October 14, winning the Blue Moon People's Choice Award for their Greg Norman burger made with Waygu beef, house buttermilk-dill, blue cheese and arugula on a Martin's Potato Roll. Chefs served up approximately 8,000 lbs. of meat on more than 14,000 Martin's Potato Rolls to satisfy attendees at this Festival fan-favorite event. Plus, a panel of judges including David Burtka, Josh Capon, Jonathan Cheban, Neil Patrick Harris, and Marc Murphy chose a classic combination of double patties, American cheese, Kosher dill pickles, tomato, a romaine chiffonade and condiments sauce on a sesame bun from David's Café as Pat LaFrieda's 2016 NYCWFF Burger Bash® Champion. On Saturday, October 15, the hit Food Network primetime series Chopped came to life at Rooftop Chopped. Here, attendees selected The Ainsworth's honey glazed Berkshire pork served over spiced roasted pineapple as their best bite of the night, sending them to the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival in February 2017 as winners of the People's Choice Award. The cast of Chopped choose Black Ant Restaurant as the event's judge's winner, presenting $10,000 courtesy of Food Network to the restaurant for their suckling pig with burnt chile grasshopper mole, crispy corn dumpling, chayote and pickled chilies.
