LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- USC Shoah Foundation is once again participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages philanthropy and promotes the idea that people can make a difference with even the smallest donation.
Donations to USC Shoah Foundation through its #BeginsWithMe campaign supports programs and initiatives to help the Institute change the world through testimony. This Nov. 29, USC Shoah Foundation is counting on you to reach its goal of $10,000. Last year, more than 100 people raised $7,000 for the Institute's important work. A dedicated microsite on the USC Shoah Foundation website will provide all the information and resources to help you get started. "The small changes we make in the world can help inspire a movement to resist genocide and other forms of inhumanity around the globe," said USC Shoah Foundation Executive Director Stephen Smith. "Please join me in participating in #BeginsWithMe and help inspire your friends and followers to join you in supporting USC Shoah Foundation, helping to make the world a more peaceful and tolerant place." There are several ways to support the Institute this #GivingTuesday. First, all are encouraged to use the hashtag #BeginsWithMe to show your support on social media. You will be able to download the #BeginsWithMe campaign card to fill out with your name and how testimony inspires you to make a difference, take a photo of yourself holding the card and share on your social media channels with #BeginsWithMe and encourage friends and family to do the same.
