BEIJING, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As the 2016 China-U.S. Tourism Year draws to an end, Yale University and American University held the "VR Experience Day of Beautiful China" event,a VR promotion program similar to Google's Expeditions VR program which hit the campus last year, but this time, from China. As the organizer of this event and one of the first organizations that develop ed VR content,China Intercontinental Communication Center (CICC) brought hundreds of VR tourism scenes in China to the U.S. This event presented the students with famous mountains and rivers, as well as scenic spots in China, including Fujian, Guilin, and Mount Huangshan. Thousandsof pieces of VR equipment were available for the students, and those who participated gave great feedback, expressing their wishes to go to Chinato see the beautiful and magical scenes in person.Rose Ann Robertson, interim Senior Associate Dean of the School of Communication of American University, told CICC that as a form of media, VR shortens the distance between different parts of the world, and allows people to know more about each other. She also expressed that she hoped to have more cultural exchanges with China and would like to take her team to China for a visit.
