Avnet Only Distributor To Represent All Seven Leaders In 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant For Integrated Systems

Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, announced today that it is the only distributor to represent all seven vendor leaders in the October 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integrated Systems. The seven vendors acknowledged in the 2016 "Leaders" quadrant are: Cisco, EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), NetApp, Nutanix, Oracle and SimpliVity. These seven vendors were recognized for completeness of their vision and the ability to execute.

Gartner, a leading information technology research and advisory firm, publishes its Magic Quadrant market research reports to provide qualitative analysis into various IT markets, their direction, maturity and participants. Integrated systems in the Magic Quadrant context represent combinations of server, storage and network infrastructure, sold with management software that facilitates the provisioning and management of the combined unit.

"We distribute the very best the industry has to offer, and we see this report as further validation of that. Avnet is proud to represent these seven vendors and because of our affiliation with them, our partners can seize new opportunities and accelerate their businesses with the cutting-edge technology their customers demand," said Sergio Farache, senior vice president of strategy and specialist business units for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas. "Avnet enjoys strong relationships with each of these organizations, and has helped them grow their sales channels and deliver innovative solutions to the partner community. We look forward to strengthening our partnerships with them in the coming years to deliver new and compelling value to the channel ecosystem."
