Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed an agreement with Oregon's Multnomah County District Attorney's (MCDA) Office for Tyler's Odyssey Attorney Manager ™ solution to help manage its caseload and increase overall efficiency in prosecuting offenders who commit state and local criminal law violations in Multnomah County, Oregon. The agreement includes software licenses, related professional services, maintenance and support. The MCDA was seeking to replace its legacy case management systems with a modern solution that would enable its staff of 250 to gain real-time access to critical case information and manage its growing caseload across six locations. The MCDA wanted a solution that would promote greater accuracy and provide validation of data when handling its estimated 30,000 annual adult felony and misdemeanor crimes as well as all juvenile matters. In addition, it wanted to be able to electronically file documents with the courts and achieve faster data exchange with law enforcement agencies. The MCDA's selection of Odyssey Attorney Manager follows the successful on-time completion of Oregon's statewide rollout of the Odyssey ® unified case management system that supports every trial court in the state under a contract that was signed by Oregon in 2011. Oregon also uses Tyler's Odyssey File & Serve ™ application, enabling e-filing so that courts and the legal community can file, serve and distribute documents electronically statewide. MCDA licensed its own instance of Odyssey Attorney Manager that will operate with a database and hosting environment separate from the state's Odyssey system; however, because Odyssey is part of the multi-agency Tyler Alliance initiative, all parties benefit from simplified and robust data sharing and streamlined workflows. This will allow the DA and courts to eliminate duplicate data entry and easily access information such as hearing schedules, warrants and party data while maintaining separate, secure databases.
