TORONTO, Nov. 17, 2016 /CNW/ - Coreio Inc., a leading IT services provider for enterprise-scale companies, announced today that it has acquired The Balardo Group Inc., a boutique advisory services firm focused on the optimization of IT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) for organizations. The transaction is expected to close early in January 2017; however, Coreio and Balardo Group will begin to work together immediately. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. As a part of the transaction, Wayne Balardo, President and Founder of Balardo Group, will join Coreio as Vice President, Advisory Services. For more than 25 years, Balardo Group has developed a strong reputation for developing and implementing I&O strategies, particularly in complex technology projects and data centre migrations. The acquisition of Balardo Group thus enhances Coreio's abilities to help its clients meet the unique IT infrastructure and operations challenges of the modern enterprise. Specifically, it expands Coreio's Advisory Services division with I&O experience to offer enterprise IT departments a true end-to-end solution, from issue identification to planning and through execution and implementation. "Teaming up with Balardo Group transforms what we can offer as an I&O Advisory Services practice," said David Naiman, President and CEO, Coreio. "Joining forces allows us to go to market with a more robust service offering that will enable us to provide a more comprehensive set of services to our clients and deliver greater value than we have before. We are thrilled that Balardo Group's impressive roster of senior IT thought leadership and project managers have joined Coreio. Their ability to understand issues from the client's perspective mirrors that of Coreio's own experts, because so many of them have been IT decision-makers at an enterprise scale and understand what that means to our clients." As part of the transaction, over 80 seasoned IT professionals with a broad range of credentials and superb management experience join Coreio's Advisory Services practice. Over 90% of the roster have more than 25 years' experience, many as former client-side IT executives. That real world experience means the solutions that Coreio's experts recommend will reflect a maturity of perspective that ensures they are tested, implementable and directly beneficial to business.
