According to Chesapeake Urology CEO Sanford Siegel, M.D., "This newly created senior position is unique among urology groups in the nation, and one that is critical in transitioning Chesapeake Urology from volume-based to value-based healthcare." The role of Chief Value Officer was developed to oversee patient safety and healthcare quality. As the new CVO of Chesapeake Urology, Dr. Dietrick will execute on the overall clinical vision and strategy of the organization, maintaining professional and quality control standards, and creating and overseeing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in Chesapeake Urology's offices and Summit Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Dr. Dietrick will work to develop new and innovative clinical programs, as well as policies and procedures that produce high quality, cost effective, medical care with measurable outcomes.
