NEW YORK (TheStreet) --The Dow Jones closed at a new record high on Tuesday; the Dow is presently enjoying a seven-day winning streak. Additionally, both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ closed in the green on Tuesday as well.
"All of the stuff that has lagged has rallied today," CNBC's Bob Pisani said on "Closing Bell" today.
Acting as a catalyst in lagging interest rate-sensitive sectors (telecom, utilities) is a tempered rise in the yields, Pisani noted.
"Tech stocks had been lagging and they started rallying today," he added. "The rally has been broadening out."
Additionally, oil closed higher by 5.8% to $45.81, marking the largest gain in seven months.
"Now energy is another group that has become, suddenly today, moved up today," Pisani said.
