ENCINITAS, Calif., Nov. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CycloPure, Inc. today announced that Harvey P. White has joined its Board of Directors. White has enjoyed a career of innovation, launching numerous successful technology companies. As a co-founder, director, and President of QUALCOMM, Inc., he was a leader in formulating strategy and managing business activities. At QUALCOMM, Harvey and his co-founders invented wireless technologies that today power mobile networks around the world, and grew the business into a $100 billion global enterprise.
White was the founding Chairman and CEO of Leap Wireless, which built cellular networks in the US and internationally. Its Cricket Wireless is the sixth largest mobile provider in the U.S., and was the first carrier to introduce "unlimited" service; now the industry pricing formula. "Harvey brings proven ability to introduce new technologies and define winning business models. His success in commercializing enabling technologies will be of great value. We will draw on that experience as we look to do the same with CycloPure's novel adsorption technologies," said CEO Frank Cassou. "I am thrilled to continue our 25-year relationship; it will be great to have him roll up his sleeves with us." White grew up in Parkersburg, West Virginia, ground zero for PFOA contamination in the U.S., and has a personal interest in bringing solutions to market that can eliminate this toxic material from water supplies. "We are lucky to have a committed leader like Harvey join the CycloPure Board," added company co-founder and Chief Science Officer Will Dichtel. "It is exciting to get to work with a new powerful technology that has the potential to be so successful while also doing so much good. I am looking forward to working with the CycloPure team to help bring Will's discovery to market," commented White.
