TORONTO, Nov. 10, 2016 /CNW/ - Echelon Wealth Partners Inc. (EWP) today named David G. Anderson its Head of Investment Banking. Mr. Anderson, 63, was most recently was Vice Chairman of Dundee Securities Ltd. Over his 18 years at Dundee, he was a member of the firm's investment banking and capital markets team, which he headed for many years. "Mr. Anderson brings extensive senior management and capital markets experience, including acquisitions, divestitures and cross-border transactions, as well as tremendous expertise in resources, and particularly mining," said David Cusson, Chief Executive Officer of EWP. "We are delighted to have David joining our firm and we know he will lead our already successful investment banking group to a much greater presence." Since January 2014, EWP (and its predecessor nameplate) has raised more than $1.9 billion for corporate clients and was lead or co-lead on more than half of those transactions. EWP's 11-person investment banking team has particular expertise in mining, healthcare, technology, telecom and real estate, as well as special situations, structured investment products and asset management. Mr. Anderson began his career with the National Energy Board of Canada in 1976 and later was employed by Amoco Production Company from 1978 to 1986 in its Calgary, Chicago and Houston offices. In 1987, Mr. Anderson returned to Canada with Midland Doherty and later joined BBN James Capel, the Canadian investment dealer subsidiary of HSBC, where he was the Managing Director from 1988 to 1995. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Anderson was a partner and Managing Director with investment dealer, Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon Ltd.
