LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As Veteran's Day approaches, thinkThin™, a leader in creating quality, protein-packed food for women has partnered with Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE), to launch a new entrepreneurship training program, V-WISE IGNITE to support women veterans and military spouses to achieve their goal of starting a business. The event will take place on Friday, November 18 in Savannah, GA and will feature a robust team of expert instructors, successful veteran entrepreneurs, and access to a nutritional curriculum developed by thinkThin.
As a premier training program in entrepreneurship and small business management, V-WISE helps women veterans and female military spouses/partners by providing them with the tools to become successful entrepreneurs. Since V-WISE's inception more than 6 years ago, graduates from the V-WISE program have generated more than $41 million in sales, and of businesses run by V-WISE graduates, more than 93 percent are still active today, each business employing an average of 4-5 people. "While our traditional conferences typically take place over multiple days, our inaugural one-day V-WISE IGNITE event in Savannah was forged from a desire to assist female veterans and military spouses earlier in the process and help them take that first step in achieving the dream of launching a new business. Our goal is to introduce small business ownership to women veterans and military spouses as a ' vocational' path forward to take an important step toward realizing their own freedom - economic freedom - through entrepreneurship," said Tina Kapral, Senior Director, Education and Training. Along with sponsoring multiple conferences throughout the year, thinkThin® has developed a nutritional curriculum designed with the active lifestyles of female veterans in mind and will utilize its resources to amplify the organization's message and share stories of inspiration and triumph.
