KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Altar'd State, a rapidly growing women's fashion brand with more than 70 boutiques throughout the Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is rolling out a series of philanthropic efforts this Christmas as part of their Give Love campaign. Altar'd State aims to inspire individuals across the country to stand out for good and pay it forward this season of giving. For the months of November and December, Altar'd State will support volunteer opportunities for its more than 1,000 store associates to give back to the communities in which Altar'd State boutiques are located. Employees are granted a total of more than 8,000 paid hours throughout November and December to support the nonprofit initiatives of their choice. During the same two months, Altar'd State will also partner with local philanthropic organizations that focus on preventing hunger and provide shelter to those in need. This is an ongoing program led by Altar'd State called Mission Monday that takes place every Monday. It donates 10 percent of the day's net proceeds to local non-profits and forges a personal relationship between the store teams and the local nonprofits. "Our mission since day one has been to inspire a movement to stand out for good and give back to others who are less fortunate," said Aaron Walters, Chairman and CEO of Altar'd State. "The Christmas season is the time of year when we strive even more to make a difference in the world and we couldn't do that without the support and participation of all of our team and our guests." Altar'd State will aim to inspire more than 500,000 acts of goodwill by offering customers a detailed lock and key trinket with each purchase. Recipients of the Give Love lock and key are encouraged to keep the key for themselves and share the heart-shaped lock with someone in need of love and kindness.
