SOMERSET, N.J., Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Raritan® and Habitat for Humanity have joined forces to build an affordable house for a local family in Dover, N.J. More than 50 employees from Raritan - a company known for its data center power distribution solutions - picked up power tools to build the three-bedroom house.
Raritan employees from every department - including software developers, product managers, and accountants - worked on the Morris Habitat house during the entire month of October. The Raritan team also made a cash contribution to the organization. Raritan joined many other Legrand companies in support of the corporation's Better Communities Volunteer Month initiative to improve homes for people in need throughout North America. "Our company is united by a common belief that together we can do things better," says Joel Bryan, Raritan's Director of Global Tech Support and captain of the volunteer project - who coordinated the various work teams comprised of 7 to 9 volunteers each. "Working with Morris Habitat for Humanity provided us a wonderful way to support a great cause and support directly the communities where we live and work. It is very rewarding to help a deserving family by building a house from the ground up. There is a strong feeling of accomplishment and camaraderie among the volunteers."
