Lazard Ltd (NYSE: LAZ) announced today that its subsidiary Lazard Group LLC ("Lazard Group") has completed its previously announced offering of $300 million aggregate principal amount of 3.625% Senior Notes due 2027 (the "Notes"). The Notes were issued by Lazard Group and were offered pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Notes are senior unsecured obligations of Lazard Group. Lazard Group previously announced its intention to use the proceeds of the Notes offering to redeem all $98.4 million in aggregate principal amount of its outstanding 6.85% Senior Notes due June 15, 2017 (the "2017 Notes"), and to use the remaining amount for repurchases of shares of Lazard Ltd's Class A common stock and for other general corporate purposes. In that regard, Lazard Ltd also announced that Lazard Group has delivered to the holders of its 2017 Notes a notice of redemption to redeem all of the outstanding 2017 Notes at a make-whole redemption price, calculated in accordance with the indenture governing the 2017 Notes.
