Fitbit in Critical Condition After Its Latest Earnings Report (Infographic)

Recent history is littered with the graves of consumer technology companies whose products became immensely popular for a time and then suddenly flamed out, like the Flip video camera and the Palm Pilot. And after Fitbit  (FIT) gave extremely disappointing guidance on Wednesday, some, including TheStreet's Jim Cramer, worry that the wearables maker could soon be one of them.

Fitbit shares plummeted almost 34% on Thursday after the company reported third-quarter earnings that slightly missed expectations, but gave fourth-quarter guidance that was well below estimates, despite its large market share. Here's a look at some of the most prominent consumer tech flame-outs, including two who could soon end up securing their plots.
